- Watch your mail for a verification packet from Secova, an independent agency, within 45 days from enrollment.
- Submit required documents (birth certificate, marriage certificate, domestic partner affidavit, etc.) by the deadline.
- Don’t miss the deadline or your dependent’s coverage will be terminated. Learn more here.
- It will take 2-3 weeks to process your enrollment with your benefit carriers.
- Then, you can go to sdtrust.com, click Menu, then Health Benefits (under My Benefits).
- Choose your bargaining group and status, then click GO!
- Click the links to your carrier’s websites and follow the directions.
- Then log in any time to see your benefits, view your claims, find in-network providers, print your plan ID card, and take advantage of valuable discounts and free programs.
- Go to edge.zenith-american.com and follow the directions.
- Then log in any time to see your current benefit selections and enrolled dependents, and
- Have secure email communications with the Trust Office customer service team.
- Click on the menu in the top right corner of the site to get answers to many of your benefit questions.
- Click on the “talk” bubble to find contact information.
- Find benefit and wellness tips on the blog page.
- View helpful infographics and videos.
- If you have a change in your family, employment status or other health coverage, you may be able to change your benefits.
- You must make a change by the deadline for the mid-year qualifying event.
- If you do not make a change by the deadline, you will have to wait until the next Open Enrollment.

- Find out who you can enroll as an eligible dependent here.
- Add or drop dependents from your benefits within 31 days (60 days for birth, adoption, or placement of a child for legal guardianship) of eligibility or non-eligibility.
- If you are an active employee, make sure you also update your beneficiaries for your Life, AD&D and Long-Term Disability benefits in Employee Self Service under the Life Events Section: “I want to change my beneficiary”.
