That’s how much you pay for recommended preventive care services

Your Health Plan covers recommended preventive care services at 100%, with no deductible required. So, put preventive care services on your Back-to-School checklist:

  • Make appointments for routine exams for yourself and your enrolled dependents, and discuss any health concerns with your doctor.
  • Schedule tests your doctor has recommended (like a mammogram or colonoscopy).
  • Get needed vaccines to stay up-to-date on recommended immunizations.

"The 100 Day Cough"

Pertussis (whooping cough) outbreaks have quickly spread through Oregon public schools in recent years…but you can reduce your risk by getting the Tdap vaccine (if you haven’t had it yet) and a Td booster every 10 years.

Vaccines reduce your risk for serious illnesses AND help those around you stay healthy. August is National Immunization Awareness Month, a good time to make sure vaccines are up-to-date for yourself and everyone in your family. Get the latest immunization schedules here.

Are you one of them?

Virtual care (also called telehealth) is a doctor visit via online video chat or by phone. It’s a great alternative for many non-urgent issues, like cold and flu symptoms, allergies, asthma, infections, rashes and pain. These virtual visits offer many advantages for you:

  • Same day appointments
  • You can be anywhere
  • Zero drive time
  • No sitting in a germy waiting room
  • Come as you are, in sweats or pjs
  • The doc can prescribe meds if needed
  • Lower cost and/or free

Contact your Health Plan (Kaiser Permanente, Regence or Providence) to learn what your Plan covers.

That’s how long you have to change your benefits if you have a family change—for example, you get married, have a baby, adopt a child or get divorced.

Also, if you have other coverage and it changes—you are no longer eligible or the cost increases—you can enroll in or change your SD-1 Trust coverage.

Get all the details on My Life Events.

Just remember to do it within 31 days.
