STAY HEALTHY: Strengthen Your Immune System

Want to do all that you can to stay healthy? When you take steps to boost your immune system, you help it do its job of preventing illness and healing infections—and that’s good for your overall health, too. Make these healthy practices lifelong habits:

Start with basic hygiene. Wash your hands, wear a face covering and keep your social distance.

Eat healthy. Choose a diet high in fruits and vegetables and maintain a healthy weight.

Exercise regularly. Aim for 30+ minutes a day of moderate activity (and reduce sitting time).

Reduce and manage stress. Practice relaxation techniques, like meditation, deep breathing, or prayer to keep cortisol levels down.

  2. Choose your bargaining unit and status, then click “Go.”
  3. Scroll down to Health Plan Documents, then choose from:

If you need more help:

  1. Click on the contact icon in the top right corner of the website to find contact details for the Trust’s benefit carriers, Trust Administrative Office, PPS District Office, and Bargaining Units.
  2. Register on your carrier’s website (Providence, Kaiser Permanente, or Regence) to access to secure messaging and other ways to contact your carrier’s service team.
  3. Call your carrier. The phone number is also on your Health Plan ID card.
